That is a Wrap on September, October is About to Get Busy

September moved fast. Between new reads on Bump News, a couple of wins worth celebrating, and the groundwork for what’s coming next, it’s the kind of month that’s easy to blink and miss — so before we run headfirst into October, here’s a quick look back.

A Few September Highlights

We talked about knowing your worth. Self-Improvement Month gave us the perfect excuse to say what we’ve been thinking all year: growth isn’t just a mindset thing for creators, it’s a business thing too. Our three tips — know your rate with real data, protect your energy like it’s part of the job, and treat your income like a business instead of a side hustle — struck a chord, and if you missed it, it’s worth the scroll back.

We dug into why Gen Z is rewriting the marketing playbook. Trust has quietly moved from celebrities to creators, social platforms have replaced search engines for product discovery, and brands are increasingly chasing long-term creator relationships over one-off posts. If you’re a creator, that shift isn’t just industry trivia — it’s exactly why understanding your own value matters more this year than it did last year.

We got creators ahead of 2027 festival season. Festival lineups don’t start with the announcement, they start with an application months earlier — so we rounded up 16 festivals across the US, Canada, and Europe (SXSW and ESNS included) that are opening 2027 applications before the year is even out.

We sat down with the people shaping the business of music. On September 15, we attended the Trapital Summit in Los Angeles — a room full of the executives, founders, and investors building the next era of music, media, and entertainment. Good conversations, sharper thinking, and a few ideas we’re already folding into what’s next for Bump.

And we quietly kicked off something new: the Bump Creator Card is now in beta in the UAE. It’s early days, but if you’ve been waiting for Bump to show up in your region, this is the first sign it’s here. More details to come as the beta grows.

And we picked up some recognition of our own. It’s been an honor to be recognized this month, and it’s a reminder that the work only means something because of the creators actually using it. Thank you for being part of that.

Through it all, the throughline stayed the same: know what you’re worth, and get paid without the wait. Creator Analytics and Bump Capital exist for exactly that reason, and September was full of reminders of why they matter.

Now, About October

If September was about laying groundwork, October is where things get loud.

We’re heading to LA Tech Week (October 12–18). We’ll be on the ground connecting with creators, founders, and builders shaping what’s next — expect behind-the-scenes content as it happens, not just a recap after the fact.

Then we’re off to Amsterdam Dance Event (October 21–25). This is the one we’re most excited about: It’s the third year running we’ve brought creator-economy programming to ADE, and this year’s the biggest one yet.

Between the two, October is shaping up to be less about writing about the creator economy and more about standing directly inside it — panels, partnerships, and a room full of the people actually building this industry.

Stick Around

If September was the setup, October is the payoff.

See you in October.
